The 7th Technology Development Zones and R&D Centers Award Ceremony was held to share the new technologies and innovations developed in technology development zones and R&D and design centers with the public and to recognize successful centers with awards.
Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the award ceremony was attended by Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, along with Deputy Ministers Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Çetin Ali Dönmez, and Hasan Büyükdede, TÜBİTAK President Hasan Mandal, Turkish Standards Institute President Adem Şahin, Turkish Patent and Trademark Office President Habip Asan, and other key figures from the R&D and innovation ecosystem.
Certified by the Ministry of Industry and Technology on November 29, 2018, the BORSAN R&D Center holds the distinction of being the first R&D center in the cable and lighting sector and the third R&D center in Samsun province.
Covering an area of approximately 350 square meters, the BORSAN R&D Center houses the largest lighting laboratory in the Black Sea region, along with specialized sections such as the Fire Testing Laboratory, Metal Laboratory, and Polymer Laboratory, equipped with advanced tools, devices, and testing programs. On this occasion, at the Technology Development Zones and R&D Centers Award Ceremony, we take great pride in having our BORSAN R&D Center officially recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and obtaining its certification, which allows us to benefit from incentives and exemptions provided under Law No. 5746 for the support of research and development activities.
