How far ahead can you think or plan right now? As a leader, how many years into the future can you foresee?
Economies worldwide are facing uncertainties stemming from high inflation, tight monetary policies by central banks, disruptions in supply chains, and geopolitical tensions in the post-pandemic recovery period. While each country navigates these challenging conditions according to its own dynamics, new paradigms in energy production and efficiency, along with sustainability goals, play a critical role in the transformation of economic structures.
In this global environment characterized by uncertainty, we structure our planning within a three-year projection framework. We maintain a strong focus on efficiency while continuing our investment plans at full speed. Notably, we have made a strategic land investment of 150 acres in the newly established Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) in Samsun. Following the infrastructure work that began in 2024, we aim to complete the construction of our new production facility and the installation of production lines by 2026-2027. By 2028, we plan to double our cable production capacity with additional value-added products, continuing to shape the dynamics of our industry.
What are the top three challenges you face when making projections?
- Economic Uncertainties (macroeconomic indicators such as exchange rates, interest rates, inflation)
- Global Market Trends (international trade, competitive conditions, entry into new markets)
How does operating within a short-term projection period challenge you? What is the financial impact on your company and its management?
As an entire management team, we are working at operational and tactical levels in this period where efficiency takes center stage. Rising costs lead to declines in efficiency, and as a result, we prioritize tactical and operational efficiency-enhancing initiatives over strategic plans during this phase..
What strategies do you use to manage this short-term projection period most efficiently?
One of the biggest challenges in short-term projections is operational inefficiency. To overcome this, we dedicate more time and energy to fieldwork and operations.
Our primary focus areas include cost optimization, efficiency improvement, workforce productivity, customer segmentation, and exports.
At the same time, we remain committed to our investment, digital transformation, and sustainability efforts to enhance our competitive edge.
