Doubling Export Growth in 2024
Borsan CEO Arbek Akay highlighted the company’s strong performance despite challenging global economic conditions. “In 2023, a year marked by natural disasters and regional conflicts, as well as a $2 trillion contraction in global trade, we managed to increase our export revenues by 9.4%, exceeding $75 million. I thank all our team members who contributed to this success. As I always emphasize, we are an excellent team, and our greatest strength is viewing every success as a springboard for the next. In 2024, we have set ourselves an even more ambitious goal to more than double our export growth momentum, aiming for a 20% increase compared to 2023 and targeting $90 million in export revenues,” Akay stated.
Market Leadership in Over 10 Countries
Akay emphasized the company’s extensive reach, conducting value-added exports to over 80 countries across four continents. “We are market leaders in more than 10 countries. Over half of our products, manufactured to international quality standards, are directed towards exports. In the coming period, we aim to accelerate export growth, strengthen our presence in global markets, and increase the number of countries where we hold market leadership. Our goal is to maximize the value we provide to our customers, employees, business partners, local communities, and the national economy as a global brand. With the support of the TURQUALITY® Program, we are now much closer to achieving this goal,” he added.
TURQUALITY® Program: Paving the Way to Becoming a Global Brand
Highlighting the significance of being part of the TURQUALITY® Program, Akay said, “We take great pride in crowning the successes achieved during Borsan’s 40-year journey with the TURQUALITY® Program, considered the Champions League of Turkish brands. This prestigious recognition not only underscores our growth but also places a responsibility on us to contribute positively to Türkiye’s image. Our export success in 2023 is a tangible example of our determination and ability to achieve our goals. On our journey to becoming a global brand, we continuously strive for sustained success by improving ourselves,” Akay concluded.
