As one of Türkiye's top 500 industrial corporations with a strong and competitive presence in nearly 100 countries, Borsan, with its global brand Borsan Cable, has been accepted into the TURQUALITY® Program by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, which includes Türkiye’s most prestigious companies. Borsan aims to increase its export revenues by 20% in 2024.
Borsan Cable, a company with a 40-year legacy and recognized among Türkiye's top 500 industrial enterprises, has been accepted into the TURQUALITY® Program. Conducting value-added exports to over 80 countries worldwide, Borsan Cable integrates sustainability as a core element of its business model.
The TURQUALITY® Program, the world’s first and only state-supported branding program, focuses not only on boosting exports but also on assisting companies in becoming global brands for sustainable success. With expertise in copper and aluminum conductor power and installation cables, low-current and custom-designed cable products, and LED lighting solutions, Borsan Cable is well-positioned in domestic and international markets. Supported by the TURQUALITY® Program, the company aims to reach the pinnacle of global success.
Borsan CEO Arbek Akay expressed the pride and responsibility associated with being included in the TURQUALITY® Program. "We take immense pride in crowning the successes achieved during Borsan's 40-year journey with the TURQUALITY® Program, considered the Champions League of Turkish brands. This prestigious recognition not only highlights our growth but also places a responsibility on us to contribute positively to Türkiye’s image. This sense of pride, responsibility, and determination fuels our steps toward becoming a global brand. With the support of the TURQUALITY® Program, we will take these steps even more decisively and expansively," Akay stated.
Targeting a 20% Increase in Exports for 2024
Highlighting the company's ambitious growth goals, Akay noted, "We conduct value-added exports to over 80 countries across four continents and hold market leadership in more than 10 countries. Over half of the products we manufacture, adhering to international quality standards, are allocated for export. In the coming period, we aim to further accelerate our export growth, strengthen our presence in global markets, and increase the number of countries where we lead the market. Our ultimate goal is to maximize the value we provide to all our stakeholders—customers, employees, business partners, local communities, and the national economy—and the TURQUALITY® Program brings us significantly closer to achieving this objective."
Outstanding Performance in the TURQUALITY® Audits
Akay highlighted the rigorous preparation process for the TURQUALITY® Program, which lasted approximately a year. "Over the course of a year, we undertook an intensive process with our entire team to prepare for the TURQUALITY® Program. During the audit, which assessed 10 different criteria, we achieved an exceptional score of 93 out of 100. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all our colleagues who contributed to this success and to Borsan Chairman Adnan Ölmez, whose trust and support have been invaluable. As I often say, we are a great team, and our greatest strength is viewing every success as a springboard for the next. Being included in the TURQUALITY® Program marks the end of an intensive process for us but also the exciting beginning of a continuous journey of development and growth as a global brand. We are ready for this journey," Akay stated.
A Path to Strengthened Global Presence
Akay further elaborated on the opportunities provided by TURQUALITY®, saying, "The program will enable us to further enhance our efforts in areas such as international market research, participation in global trade fairs, organizing trade delegations, certification processes, marketing, and promotional activities. It will also provide significant contributions to our corporate infrastructure development, digital transformation, brand management, marketing strategies, and product development. As we continue our journey toward becoming a global brand, we aim to deliver new value to our company, stakeholders, and Türkiye’s economy through sustained success and growth."
